Here is a quote from the book that shows why I think this book is brilliant for all who are interested in games, gamification, and self-gamification:
“You can create a game where you pretend you are a scientist or an anthropologist discovering the way that a particular culture functions or operates.” — Ariel and Shya Kane, Working on Yourself Doesn’t Work
And the culture they refer to is ourselves.
This Role-Playing Game of being anthropologist studying the culture of one, myself, has been one of the most brilliant ideas I have ever heard about. And I play it many times a day since. Whenever I am present, non-judgmental, and fully engaged, I am my own anthropologist.
